Summary. Natural minerals are increasingly used in agriculture, both abroad and in our country. In a wide range of preparations based on minerals, diatomites occupy a special position, since their evolutionary formation occurred as a result of the mineralization of the organic matrix of ancient plants. Mineral sorbent diatomite (diatomite fine powder - DFP) and biokoretron are produced from diatomite rocks of the Inzensky field of the Ulyanovsk region, the producer is LLC Diatomovy Kombinat. Biokoretron is a thermally treated diatomite (97% of the total fraction) with the following chemical composition: silicon oxide (80-87%), iron oxide (2-3%), aluminum oxide (5-7%), calcium oxide (0.7-1.2%), chelates of zinc, copper and manganese (0.043%), betaine (0.48%). The preparation also includes Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus subtilis and a complex of essential oils. It belongs to natural, environmentally friendly sorbents and meets the requirements for this type of product. The use of medicines based on diatomaceous minerals - biokoretron and diatomite - in the diet of lactating cows has a pronounced positive pharmacological effect on red blood and indicators characterizing protein and mineral metabolism. Independent use of these preparations contributes to the emergence of positive trends in the stabilization of metabolism at alimentary anemia and alimentary osteodystrophy. Diatomite and biokoretron contribute to increasing the average daily milk yield and to improving the technological qualities of milk, respectively, by increasing the content of fat, protein and milk solids.

Keywords: sorbents, diatomite, alimentary anemia, alimentary osteodystriphy, lactating cows, metabolism, mineral metabolism, milk yield.
