Summary. Data on the study of the bactericidal activity of the disinfectant Ecovet-A - a preparation of a new generation, obtained by the method of electrochemical activation of liquid in flow-through electrochemical modules when exposed to a solution of a high-intensity electric field (electrochemical anode action on an inert electrode) are presented in the article. In the course of the research, it was determined that the treatment of test objects (wood painted with oil paint; iron, linoleum, plastic, tiles) with a disinfectant Ecovet-A in an exposition for 15 minutes had an insufficient disinfecting effect against strains of test microorganisms (E. coli, St. aureus and P. aeruginosa). However, the growth of microorganisms in this time period was insignificant and did not exceed 5 colonies, while at exposure of 30 and 60 minutes, a pronounced bactericidal effect was observed in relation to the test microorganisms used in the experiment: Escherichia coli (strain 1257); Pseudomonas aeruginosa (strain ATSS 27853); Staphylococcus aureus (strain 906) to assess the bactericidal activity against gram-positive bacteria.

Keywords: disinfectants, Ecovet-A, electrochemical activation, test strain, gram-positive microorganisms, colonies, bactericidal activity, exposure.
