Kidney haemodynamics and correction of its disturbance In dogs at dirofilariasis

Kolody I.V., Ermakov A.M., Boyko V.P.

Summary

It is important to study the state of renal haemodynamics and development of effective methods of correction of violations especially at the early stages of dirofilariasis in dogs. Renal blood flow of 20 dogs with dirofilariasis was investigated by means of ultrasonic dopplerography. Increase of absolute indices of blood flow (Pourcelot resistance index, Gosling pulsatility index) was revealed. Absolute speed indices took almost normal values in one month in the group of dogs that received combined therapy by antithrombotic, antiparasitic drugs and ACE inhibitors. Thus, study of renal blood flow in dogs at dirofilariasis allows to reveal disturbance, optimize therapeutical tactics and prevent the development of fatal complications.

Key words: dirofilariasis, transmissible diseases, ultrasonography, dopplerography, renal blood flow, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor.
