Annotation. The feed additive Albit-BIO of domestic production is widely used in many areas of animal husbandry in order to increase productivity and safety of livestock. It contains selenium and iodine in bioavailable colloidal form. In rabbit breeding, feed additives are used in very limited quantities. The aim of the work is to determine the effect of the Albit–BIO feed additive to the diet of young rabbits on its meat productivity. From 45-day-old young rabbits of the Soviet Chinchilla breed, 3 groups of 15 heads each were formed according to the principle of analogues. The content is the same. All rabbits received one complete feed. Rabbits of the 1st control group did not receive the Albit-BIO feed additive. Albit-BIO was added to the drinking bowl for rabbits of the 2nd group every day at the rate of 0.35 ml, for the 3rd group – 1.00 ml per head per day. The results of scientific and economic experience have shown that the feed additive contributes to the rational use of nutrients of full-fledged compound feed by young rabbits on fattening, reducing its consumption while maintaining meat productivity.

The optimal daily dose of Albit-BIO for young rabbits on fattening has been established – 1.0 ml per head, at which the consumption of compound feed decreases by 49 g per head per day (29.2%), the feed conversion rate decreases by 1.3. At a dose of 0.35 ml, the indicators characterizing the effectiveness of the use of compound feed decrease less significantly, by 40 g (23.8%) and 0.8, respectively.

Keywords: young rabbits of the Soviet Chinchilla breed, Albit-BIO feed additive, meat productivity, absolute gain in live weight, relative gain, yield of slaughter weight, feed conversion.
