Chemotherapy during mammary gland tumors therapy in cats and dogs

Summary. The article presents data on the study of the treatment of breast tumor (OMJ) and breast cancer, the effectiveness of surgical treatment, chemotherapeutic treatment and combined treatment. The classification and variability of surgical intervention in OMJ and breast cancer are shown. The effectiveness of the drugs Doxorubicin and Docetoxel, both monotherapy and joint therapy with surgery, has been established. The classification of the stages of OMJ and breast cancer and the effectiveness of various treatment regimens are given. Prognostic factors affecting the effectiveness of treatment and the further life of the animal are shown. Information was obtained on the effect of the drugs Doxorubicin and Docetoxel on clinical indicators in various periods of the disease and the recovery time of cats and dogs with breast cancer was determined. The treatment regimens and dosages of antitumor antibiotics are given. Negative effects arising during chemotherapy and methods of combating them are shown. Presented statistical data on survival after breast cancer chemotherapy. The rules for chemotherapy are given. The results, methods and materials of our own research are presented. The preoperative diagnostic studies (radiography, ultrasound diagnostics, laboratory blood examination) and the necessity of histological examination of the obtained pathological material after surgery are indicated in order to obtain accurate data on the malignancy and goodness of the neoplasm and further prediction and expediency of chemotherapy treatment of the patient.
