Summary. There are various factors hindering the intensive development of poultry farming, the production of high-quality poultry meat and eggs, the main of which are parasitic diseases. Pathogens Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Syngamus trachea, Capillaria obsignata and Raillietina tetragona are parasites that intensively infect domestic chickens and are an obstacle to the development of poultry farms. The spread of parasites with varying degrees of extensiveness and intensity is observed depending on the age group of birds, which leads to a delay in development, a decrease in the production and quality of meat and egg productivity, which causes significant economic damage to farms. An increase or decrease in the extent and intensity of invasions is observed depending on environmental factors. The authors studied the infection of domestic chickens with helminths depending on the age group of birds. During 2017-2019, in various private poultry farms of Azerbaijan an intensive helminth infection of domestic chickens caused by Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Singamus trachea, Capillaria obsignata and Railletina tetragona was registered. The average infection rate in birds is observed at the following economical regions: ascariasis (41.2%) and ryetinosis (24.8%) in Guba-Khachmaz; heterokidosis (34.4%) in Central Aran; syngamosis (21.9%) in Sheki-Zagatala; capillariosis (27.7%) in Lankaran-Astara. The average intensity of invasion of ascariasis (1-801) was recorded in Guba-Khachmaz; heterocytosis (1-97), capillariasis (1-32), rayetinosis (1-19) in Aran and syngamosis (1-16) in Lankaran-Astara economic regions.
